These terms govern your use of the Mnemonic browser extension and associated services. By installing the extension or creating an account, you agree to these terms.
Mnemonic is a Chrome extension that tracks your browsing activity locally on your device and models it using a spaced repetition algorithm (FSRS). It provides a dashboard, search, and optional AI chat and file sync features. The extension stores data in your browser's local storage.
You can use the free tier without an account. Pro features require an account, which you create by verifying your email address through a magic link. You're responsible for maintaining access to your email for authentication purposes.
One account per person. Don't share your session or create multiple accounts to circumvent limits.
The free tier includes core memory tracking, search, dashboard, and blocklist features with a 30-day memory stability cap. The Pro tier includes additional features (AI chat, vault sync, advanced model tuning, 365-day cap) for a subscription fee.
We may adjust which features are included in each tier. If we remove a feature from Pro that you're actively paying for, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice.
The AI chat feature requires you to provide your own API key from a supported provider (Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google). By using this feature:
Your browsing data belongs to you. It lives on your device. We don't have access to it, can't sell it, and won't try to collect it. See our Privacy Policy for specifics on what's stored where.
You can delete your local data at any time by uninstalling the extension or clearing Chrome's storage. You can delete your server-side account by contacting us.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
We aim to keep the service running reliably, but we don't guarantee 100% uptime. The extension runs locally, so most features work offline. Server-dependent features (subscription verification) require internet access.
We may update the extension, change features, or modify these terms. Material changes will be communicated via email (if you have an account) or through the extension. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
Mnemonic is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for:
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
You can stop using Mnemonic at any time by uninstalling the extension and cancelling your subscription. We can terminate your account for violation of these terms, with reasonable notice where possible.
On termination, your local data remains on your device (we can't touch it). Server-side account data is deleted per our Privacy Policy.
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.
